PROFILE :

D’ERLANGER is one of the very first Japanese Visual Kei band which was formed in 1983. The band consisted of Kaoru Miyahira on vocals, Takigawa "CIPHER" Ichiro on guitars, SEELA on bass and Shido on drums. CHIPHER was only fifteen years old at the time when the band was formed. Kaoru left the band a year later and was replaced with DIZZY. D’ERLANGER released three demo tapes titled, Blue and The Birth of Splendide Beast!! in 1985 and Sadistic Emotion in 1987. Soon after, Shido then left the band and was replaced with ex-SAVER TIGER drummer, TETSU. In 1989, DIZZY also left the band where KYO then became the new vocalist of the band.
D’ERLANGER released their first single, LA VIE EN ROSE, on February 10, 1989. They released their first album, BASILISK, on February 7, 1990. It was followed by another single, DARLIN’ on January 24 and Lullaby -1990- on September 5, 1990.

The band disbanded in 1990 and each members went separate ways. KYO formed DIE IN CRIES and BUG. Both CIPHER and TETSU formed BODY and after that, together with SEIICHI, ex-ZI:KILL, they formed CRAZE. SEELA was a support member for VINIL.

D’ERLANGER announced that they will be returning and have released two albums, PANDORA and LAZZARO, in March 2007.
